In between shows with Rod Stewart on their Heart and Soul Tour, Stevie Nicks is back on the PR trail doing interviews in support of her forthcoming new album In Your Dreams and will be visiting Oprah for the first time on April 13th.  Prior to the tour, Stevie had been working on the album, her seventh, at her home in LA. The world hasn’t seen a new Stevie Nicks solo album in over 10 years. The album is being produced by former Eurythmic Dave Stewart, who is co-writing the music and some of the lyrics based on Stevie Nicks’ poetry and shared experiences they’ve both had in bands and on tour. The album has been in production for nearly a year as the two write and record. Rumor has it that Nicks is shooting vampire-themed music videos to support the album and may perform at Glasonbury!  Tracks titles include Secret Love (“The ode to the rock star”) and Everybody Loves You, which Nicks alludes is about Fleetwood Mac guitarist Lindsay Buckingham, with whom Nicks had a relationship and famously split from after the release of the band’s breakout album Rumours. Recently, Nicks has indicated that we may hear a new Fleetwood Mac album by next year, fingers crossed! In the meantime, we’ll have to be content with Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks tickets for the Heart and Soul Tour.

Stevie Nicks Duets

Stevie Nicks is one of America’s most beloved pop stars for her bleeding heart performances with Fleetwood Mac and her duets with Lindsey Buckingham, her solo work and now her Heart and Soul Tour with legendary British rocker Rod Stewart, but not many people are familiar with the number of collaborations she has had with some of our other favorite musicians. Who knew that Prince actually co-wrote Stand Back with Stevie? Or who remembers Stevie’s hit duet with Tom Petty on Stop Dragging My Heart Around? Stevie Nicks, not one to turn down an offer apparently, even appeared in Beyonce’s video for Bootylicious. And who can forget her show-stealing duet with Taylor Swift at the 2010 Grammy’s where Swift notoriously sang off-key? Finally, Stevie was seen on the set of Glee where the cast was covering Fleetwood Mac classic Landslide. Be sure to catch her on the next show of the Heart and Soul Tour, get your Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks tickets today!

Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks were forced to cancel the opening night of their Heart and Soul Tour after Rod came down with the flu in March. Sources close to the singer say that he is fully recovered now and will be performing the rest of dates on the tour. Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks tickets for the cancelled show will be fully refunded at the point of purchase. There is the possibility that the tour promoters could reschedule the show to give fans in South Florida the chance to see this epic duo perform their classic hits but no decisions have been made yet. Rod Stewart, Stevie Nicks Tour – and Maybe Jeff Beck, too!

Rod Stewart

Rod Stewart

As the rumors fly ahead of the Rod Stewart Stevie Nicks tour about Rod recording a new album with Jeff Beck, Beck himself has come out and confirmed the two old stars are indeed collaborating on a new disc! Beck is a guitar god to many people, and the two played together many years ago back in the Swingin’ London era, but the enthusiasm and determination to make great records hasn’t changed one bit. Apparently, Beck finished his part of the recording for the upcoming album in San Francisco recently, and he was well pleased with the way the session – also featuring his drummer – went. Beck remembers how, during the stint at the studio, the feel of the music changed in favor of his absent co-star. “there was one point when it went from Jeff Beck over to Rod Stewart, in terms of the direction”, Beck said, adding, “Immediately I started doing bluesy riffs and a record that was suitable for Rod. Rather than mess about for a week, we decided to get straight to it – and we cut 11 songs and backing tracks ready for Rod”.

As the build-up to the much anticipated Rod Stewart Stevie Nicks tour gathers steam, with the opening date less than a month away, talk of yet another Rod Stewart tour is now circulating. The Rod Stewart and Jeff Beck tour would be a huge event, and would mean two blockbuster treks for the former hell-raiser, and at Rod’s age that’s some going! Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks Schedule Rehearsals

They haven’t met in person for over 20 years, since the day they ran into each other in a Los Angeles recording studio, but Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks tickets are the talk of Tinseltown in 2011! In January 2011, the superstar duo met up and decided to embark on the sensational 16-date concert tour. The Rod Stewart Stevie Nicks schedule is known as the Heart & Soul 2011 North American Tour. Tickets are totally selling out everywhere and fans of this rock double act are lining up to be first in line. The two gave an interview recently and were playful and punchy when describing their past history and decision to get together for the massive rock star tour dates.

On their previous meeting in a LA recording studio, Nicks said, “I tiptoed up behind him and put my arms around his waist from the back,” Hilariously, Stewart quickly added, “I’d know those hands anywhere.”

Surprisingly the two have never toured together, or even recorded together, which makes Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks tickets even more in demand if anything. Stewart also revealed that the idea for the Stewart and Nicks tour actually came from Stewart’s daughters Ruby and Kimberly, who are huge Stevie Nicks fans. The format of the shows was also discussed, and it looks like audiences are going to be in for a treat! Nicks will open the shows – which are scheduled to last over three hours – with a variety of top Fleetwood Mac hits and solo work, before Stewart takes over with his stunning back catalog. There is still some speculation over which songs they’ll duet on, but some of the favorites include former Nicks and Don Henley duet “Leather and Lace” and Stewart’s “The First Cut Is the Deepest” and “Reason to Believe”.

Their rehearsal techniques are markedly different; Nicks likes to thoroughly go over all material until she is comfortable, but Stewart dislikes too much preparation. He said, “In the Faces, we never rehearsed. I always like there to be the element of risk in any show. When things go wrong, I love it. We’ll have to meet in the middle.”

It looks like this is a rock tour marriage made in heaven, and these two are going to create a powerful blend of singing styles that will drive the crowds wild. Make sure you buy Rod Stewart and Stevie Nicks tickets soon, and you’ll be all set!
